About Pre-Site Support

The Loft, located in Bowling next to Bowling Park Primary School on New Cross Street, serves as a pre-site assessment centre for up to 8 students. Students will attend either AM or PM sessions for initial assessments and to ensure students are stable and familiar with our ways of working prior to moving to one of the other sites to access full time education. Students will only attend this site for a short period.

The Bungalow, located in Eccleshill next to Holybrook Primary School, serves as a site for up to 5 students with high-end anxiety and EBSA characteristics. Students may stay at this site for a longer period as required.

Intent

 

The Bungalow offer at Bradford AP Academy aims to support students who display signs of EBSA characteristics and SEMH to enable them to increase their confidence, self-esteem and to re-engage with their learning.  

This provision aims to re-engage students who have been out of education for an extended period of time, or are experiencing anxiety or trauma that prohibits them from successfully engaging in full time education. This is through a flexible curriculum that is adapted to the needs of the individual student. This supports the students to develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in a small group setting before progressing onto a main BAPA site and ultimately into a long-term educational setting.
